Short version: webp.convert runs entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device. We don't have servers processing your images, and we don't collect personal data.
We collect nothing. webp.convert does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal information. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no tracking of individual users.

Your files never leave your device. Image conversion happens entirely inside your web browser using the built-in Canvas API. No file is uploaded to any server at any point.
When you drop a ZIP file onto webp.convert:
Once you close or refresh the tab, all file data is permanently gone from the browser's memory. We have no copy, no record, and no access to anything you processed.
webp.convert does not use cookies. We do not use local storage, session storage, or IndexedDB to store any information about you or your usage.
Your browser settings (such as quality preference or max width) are not saved between sessions — this is intentional, as it means nothing about your session persists.
webp.convert loads two external resources:
fonts.googleapis.com. Google may log this font request per their own Privacy Policy. No personal data specific to you is shared.cdnjs.cloudflare.com). This is a JavaScript library that runs entirely in your browser. Cloudflare may log the CDN request per their own Privacy Policy.These are standard CDN requests comparable to loading any stylesheet or script on any website. Neither service receives your images or file data.
We do not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Hotjar, or any other analytics or tracking tool. There is no pixel tracking, session recording, or heatmap software on this site.
If hosted on a platform such as GitHub Pages, Netlify, or Vercel, that platform may collect basic server-level access logs (page views, IP addresses) as part of their standard infrastructure. This is governed by that platform's privacy policy, not ours.
webp.convert is a general-purpose developer tool and is not directed at children under 13. Because we collect no personal information whatsoever, there is no special risk to children using this service. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, regardless of age.
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Since we don't collect contact information, we cannot notify you directly — we recommend bookmarking this page if you want to track changes.
Continued use of webp.convert after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
